Former Novartis Chief begins role as Sanofi CEO

The former CEO of Novartis has this week begun his tenure as CEO of French pharma giant, Sanofi, replacing retiring Olivier Brandicourt.

Paul Hudson served a three-year stint as CEO of Novartis where he was also a member of the Executive Committee.

Previously, he worked for AstraZeneca, where he held several increasingly senior positions and most recently carried out the roles of President of AstraZeneca US and Executive Vice President of North America.

He began his career in sales and marketing roles at GlaxoSmithKline UK and Sanofi-Synthélabo UK.
