Danish pharma company Lundbeck has appointed Keld Flintholm Jørgensen to the newly created position of Chief Business Officer.
Jørgensen joins from Roche where he served as Global Head of Strategic Partnering.
Lundbeck said the new position is part of its revised strategy which is aimed on achieving sustainable growth.
Deborah Dunsire, President and CEO of Lundbeck, said: “Creating this additional executive role allows for sufficient management resources devoted to ensuring that we can continue growing our commercial presence and deliver on our growth strategy including access to appropriate external innovation.
Jørgensen added: “I am very pleased to be joining Lundbeck and look forward to be driving the development and execution of the corporate strategy going forward.
“In addition to the company’s core business, the intention is to devote significant time and effort to pursuing external opportunities which offers significant opportunities for value creation.”
