A senior shuffle at Switzerland’s Vifor Pharma will see Klaus Henning Jensen join as Chief Medical Officer and Member of the Executive Committee in January 2020.

Jensen joins from Sanofi where he has most recently been Global Therapeutic Area Head, responsible for diabetes, cardiovascular and metabolism development.

In his new role, he will be responsible for clinical development, drug safety and medical affairs.

The company has also announced that Dario Eklund, Chief Commercial Officer and member of the Executive Committee, will leave at the end of September.

Vifor said he has “decided to pursue opportunities outside” the company, and confirmed a search for a successor is underway.
